Amazon.com Product Description From the renowned company that created the Swiss Army Knife more than a century ago comes the innovative SwissFlash, a combination multi-tool/flash drive that lets you clean your nails and store data in a single compact device. The SwissFlash--which is available in 1 GB, 2 GB, 4 GB, 8 GB, and 16 GB capacities--is stylishly cased in the timeless Swiss Army housing with the familiar Victorinox logo on the side. Victorinox added a twist, however, by veering away from the classic red and making the housing silver. More importantly, the SwissFlash contains several reliable tools for home or office use, including a small blade, a nail file with a screwdriver, a small pair of scissors, and the flash drive, which plugs directly into a USB port. In short, there's no better multi-tool accessory for the modern professional. The SwissFlash--which offers a write-protection switch to help protect your files against accidental deletion--runs on the USB 2.0 standard but is compatible with USB 1.1. As with all Victorinox items, the SwissFlash is made to exacting standards, with dozens of individual parts and hundreds of steps going into its construction. Victorinox attends to every detail, from selecting the finest materials to performing the final inspection. In addition, each individual tool has been hardened in a different way to stand up to its designated use. Outfitted with a plastic housing that measures 2-1/4 inches long, the SwissFlash carries a lifetime warranty. About Swiss Army Knives ? In 1884, Swiss cutler Karl Elsener set up shop in Ibach-Schwyz, installing a waterwheel in Tobelbach Brook to run his grinding and polishing machines. Thus began what would become the international brand name Victorinox, a combination of Victoria, for Elsener's mother, and "inox," or stainless steel. Today, Victorinox produces watches, luggage, clothing, and, famously, Swiss Army Knives. The original product dates to 1897, when Elsener patented the Swiss Officer's and Sports Knife he supplied to the Swiss Army. Following World War II, American servicemen and women shopping in PX stores shortened the name to Swiss Army Knife, which lives on in English-speaking countries around the world and has become a metaphor for versatility.
Product Description SwissFlash ¿ the fast, second-generation Victorinox memory stick with expanded functionality. A new, high-performance LED, even faster performance and a write-protection switch are the new features, which distinguish this product. If you need to save or simply move images or files, you have the right product in your hand with the SwissFlash. Through the unique integration of memory in a pocket tool, you are also able to do much more than just save and move files. You can also write down notes, ideas or important information. In the flight version, you have access to even more useful tools besides a ballpoint pen and white LED light. Since the memory case can be removed, it is possible to plug in several USB devices to your computer or laptop at the same time. The write-protection switch on the USB drive helps to protect your files against accidental deletion. The drives run under the USB 2 standard and are compatible with USB 1.1. The ideal tool for saving and exchanging digital photographs, music and text files, calculation tables, and presentations. The available storage capacity of up to 16 GB makes it possible for you to carry all your data with you.

| Customer Reviews: A little expensive June 6, 2010 George Carte (Palmer, Alaska USA) Bought as a gift for a graduate. Well made as is all Victorinox, but too expensive for 1GB of memory. No tweezer or touthpick either.
Nice look. Nice gadget. December 7, 2009 Gadget Lover (South Pasadena, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
I have to admit that I also have the other red version with a few more bells and whistles. But I bought this one first because it was cheaper.
I like the look, and so far, everything has held up.
Of course, the flash drive part is what I use the most. Second would be the scissors. (I used them to open the package of the second red Swiss drive I got.)
But over all, I find myself using every part of this little gizmo.
One reviewer only gave these products four stars because of the way the seller hiked up the prices on replacement memory. And I have to agree. My advice to anyone who might be thinking that they could simply get a small amount of memory and then "up grade" later is to get the size memory you want right off the bat. That's about the only regret I have. Other than that, I'd say that I like my Swiss drive and I will be putting it on my holiday shopping list.
Victorinox flash drive September 12, 2009 williewyotech (Murrieta, CA) 1 out of 1 found this review helpful
great combination of a swiss army knife and a flash drive .... one star less for the price ....
Miniature Mega-Brain August 1, 2009 Justin Friedland (Pound Ridge, NY United States) What a great product. More storage power than the lunar lander, and scissors to boot. The flash drive has already proven itself to be invaluable, easy to remove and reinsert into the body of the knife, and completely dependable. The rest is a Swiss Army knife. What more needs to be said. Buy one for everyone you know!
