I have had this knife for 13 years now and carry it with me in my front pocket every day. This thing never breaks (how could it? It's Swiss), it does things that you can't even believe it would do. I actually used it to fix my car, do repair work in the house and all kinds of things beyond the tech realm for which it is marketed. I can't tell you how many times I've just reached for my trusty Cybertool in a pinch or lent it to co-workers scrambling for scissors or something to cut or because a screw came loose on their computer or some other device. I used it to build an entire Ikea cabinet and basically everything else in my apartment, from opening the packaging with the blade to assembling the pieces with the screwdriver. The translucent exterior is beautiful and cool. Why bother with a big tool chest when you can have it all in this compact little package? I'd feel naked without it. I'm proud to say I bought it in Zurich and then ended up living in that most beautiful of cities for five years. Best of all, this thing is most certainly NOT "made in China." The Swiss still know what quality is.

I picked up this tool about a month ago and it has definitely worked it's way into my day to day activities. I work in IT and am switching out desktop/laptop components, looking for cables in dark places, and cutting open packages regularly. Also, the pen has been really handy :-)
Previous to this, I picked up 2 Leatherman-type tools which were great but not as convenient due to their size and were easy to lose track of. I keep this in my pocket and have used almost everything on it at least once. It's also a great conversation piece in a nerdy/high tech kind of way. This would be the ultimate if it had a USB drive on it but as suggested, it's pretty much paid for itself.

I don't think a day goes by when I don't use this at least once. I have the holster (Zermatt Leather Pouch)so I carry it on my belt.
The exchangeable bits for the screwdriver is great, I wish they made a 5mm allen key though.
For some reason this seems to be the only cybertool knife with the flashlight built in, I could not find another Swiss army knife with this feature. The flashlight isn't overly bright but when you are in the dark it's very helpful, they should add lights to other models.
The knife was very sharp, and yes this is an original Swiss army so the movements are very smooth. I think many people have seen cheap knock off's of Swiss army knifes and have been put off by them, the real deal is not cheap, it's well made quality knife so yes you'll have to pay more for it.
People ask me why I didn't get a Leatherman, I took a good look at their products in the end this knife seem to be the most useful. I highly recommend getting the holster, it's a bit big to be in your pocket, so for me the decision was if I'm going to carry a knife on my belt which one is more useful, this knife won.
If you like the 53969 model,buy it with confidence, it won't let you down! Looks great and works better! October 14, 2009

Awesome multi-tool by Victorinox,it comes equipped with everything you may want for use at home,office or while on the go.I'm not a TECH guy but find it very useful for any day to day activity outside the computer stuff
Very well constructed, sturdy but not heavy or bulky, I actually find it very easy to carry in my jeans or trousers' pockets. In the beginning I was a bit reluctant to the "Translucent Ruby" but now that I have it,I definitely can tell this is a lot nicer than the solid red.
