Product Description In 1884, Master Cutler Karl Elsener started his cutlery factory in the small village of Ibach, Switzerland. In 1897, he crafted the Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife. Since that time, the Elsener family has continued to craft tools in the Victorinox tradition of precision durability and quality. Attempts have been made worldwide to copy Victorinox and its symbol of superior craftsmanship - The red handle knife bearing the "Cross & Shield." Don't be fooled by imitations. To ensure your product is an authentic Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife or specialty tool, simply look at the base of your large blade for the Victorinox name. All knives have rust-free aluminum alloy separators, blades made of stainless steel, and brass rivets and bushings used to hold the knife layers together. Victorinox is the world leader of pocket tools (Multi-tools and Pocket knives). For every activity, be it professional, in the home or during leisure time, there is a need for excellent tools and cutting implements. Find the one that fits your daily task. Victorinox guarantees all multi-tools to be of first-class stainless steel, and provides a lifetime guarantee against any defects in material and workmanship.

A 5-Star plus pocket knife August 2, 2010 Marko Today I reamed 24 holes in 20 gauge sheet steel using my Victorinox Farmer Pocket Knife reamer and I didn't even made a dent on it. I have used this knife's saw to saw PVC pipe, up to one inch dowels, and 1/4 inch plywood and it can make a very straight cut; in fact, I bought this knife just because of the saw, having first used the Victorinox Soldier model which is exactly the same, except it doesn't have a saw. I really hate pocket knifes with excess tools and that's why I love the Farmer: it has, IMO, the precise amount of tools that are the most useful to the handyman.
The quality is tops (it's a Victorinox!), the knife is easy to sharpen and the whole thing is very easy to maintain. When the lint in my pocket takes away the snap of the blades, I just open all of them midway and boil it in water with a little dish washing liquid. Then I rinse, dry and oil it and it ends up like new again.
It's no wonder everybody gives this knife five stars: it's worth everyone of them and even more.
whoa...super fast shipping... April 30, 2010 E. Arellano (cali) Ordered this on wednesday(4/28)morning and arrived Friday(4/30)morning. Also chose the FREE 5-9 day shipping cause I wasnt in a hurry. The knife looks good and solid. Will be testing out the tool later. Very suprised and happy with shipping and very pleased with the product.

The farmer knife has a pruning saw blade which is most handy to me. The 2 knives arrived before the advertised date, perfect as described, ANOTHER AMAZING AMAZON DEAL.......
Quality that looks and works great! January 18, 2010 J. W. Graham (Florence, SC USA) I like Swiss Army Knives. I have a small collection of them. This is my first alox knife, and I'm quite happy with it. The main knife blade is thicker and wider than the red handled knives like it, which is nice. This is the same blade that was standard issue for the Swiss Army until the 2008 redesign. The awl is also very sturdy, and features an L-shape for more rigidity during use. The alox scales have held up well to daily carry, and don't scratch nearly as easily as the classic red plastic handles. The only drawback about the handles is that they don't have a toothpick or tweezers in them. Overall, this is a high quality knife that looks and works great!
Great gift for a gardener January 29, 2009 Jiru (Arizona) A good, reliable knife produced by a highly reputable company. An excellent example of high quality at a reasonable price. My garden guy will use it for many years.
