Product Description
SwissCard Contains the Following Tools: Letter Opener (Blade) Scissors Straight Pin Nail File with Screwdriver Tweezers Toothpick Pressurized Ball Point Pen Ruler (in) Ruler (cm) In 1884, Master Cutler Karl Elsener started his cutlery factory in the small village of Ibach, Switzerland. In 1897, he crafted the Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife. Since that time, the Elsener family has continued to craft tools in the Victorinox tradition of precision durability and quality. Attempts have been made worldwide to copy Victorinox and its symbol of superior craftsmanship - The red handle knife bearing the "Cross & Shield." Don't be fooled by imitations. To ensure your product is an authentic Victorinox Original Swiss Army Knife or specialty tool, simply look at the base of your large blade for the Victorinox name. All knives have rust-free aluminum alloy separators, blades made of stainless steel, and brass rivets and bushings used to hold the knife layers together. Victorinox is the world leader of pocket tools (Multi-tools and Pocket knives). For every activity, be it professional, in the home or during leisure time, there is a need for excellent tools and cutting implements. Find the one that fits your daily task. Victorinox guarantees all multi-tools to be of first-class stainless steel, and provides a lifetime guarantee against any defects in material and workmanship. **SwissCard casing covered by a one-year warranty. **Electronic parts are covered by a two-year warranty.

Amazon.com Review
A terrific gift for a man or a woman, this sleek credit-card-size tool and manicure kit comes from the renowned company that created the Swiss Army knife a century ago. This innovative adaptation of the outdoorsman's pocket knife, however, is designed for 21st-century urbanites. It slips into a wallet, purse, or personal organizer or fits unobtrusively in a vehicle glove compartment. The card contains nine stainless-steel tools that slide out of a sleek translucent-plastic holder. The tools include a letter opener, scissors, ballpoint pen, nail file, screwdriver, tweezers, plastic toothpick, needle, and ruler. The card measures just 3-1/4 inches long, 2-1/6 inches wide, and 1/5-inch thick. A fine example of Swiss engineering precision, the entire kit weighs less than 1 ounce. The card carries a lifetime warranty against defects. --Fred Brack

This Swiss Army card is the best ever - has everything the knife has PLUS convenience of being card size. I've given dozens of these as gifts after receiving one myself.

I have 5 gadget knives; 4 of them are Victorinox. This one is wonderful. I keep it in my purse since it is so light weight and the shape makes it easy to fit anywhere. I have found many occasions to use it. The scissors are perfect for small items, the knife is perfect for small jobs like opeing letters and cutting plastic (even the tough plastic on toy packages), I could go on. A wonderful tool! One of my favorites!

I always carry a small "classic" knife. But when on an airplane, that is impossible. The closest useful substitute is this card with the blade left home. It still has the scissors, toothpick, and tweezers which are very useful.

4 out of 5 stars Great light weight pocket tool. Not meant to be a Leatherman.   November 16, 2007

The SwissCard isn't perfect, but overall it's a great gadget to have around. I also have a tiny leatherman, which is fine, and certainly beefier - it depends on how minimalist you want to get.

The SwissCard is really handy in size, it will fit anywhere a credit card would. I use mine primarily in my knitting bag (yes, the knitting bag gets a lot of use). Everyone comments on it, and for several years I've used it frequently. The scissors have stayed sharp, as has the knife. The pen is the size of a skinny ball point pen refill and 3 inches long, which is not great for correspondence but when you need a pen it works just great. The tweezers are standard Swiss Army Knife tweezers, as is the toothpick. The nailfile is handy and sturdy enough to actually use. There is also a straight pin. I suppose it could be handy, if for no other reason than to reset a clock or eject a stuck CD.

I really like this tool, but I got it as swag (for free). 90% of the use for me is the scissors. Still - for the knitter or crocheter it's a nice gift. I find it to be plenty sturdy. (If your knitter or crocheter is also a fix-it person, you might think about moving up to a swiss army knife though - get the one with a corkscrew).
